The number of shows and movies available to watch with captions on TVNZ OnDemand continues to increase. While the bulk of this is regular captioned content on broadcast TV, it’s not all soaps and cooking shows. Take your pick from movies, box sets of old favourites, and it’s home to HEIHEI too, so plenty of kid-friendly goodness. The best part – it’s all free!
OnDemand captions are available on the following supported devices and platforms:
- Web (laptop/desktop)
- IOS/Apple (mobile and tablet)
- Android (mobile and tablet)
In the TVNZ OnDemand app, navigate to the menu, select Categories and scroll till you find the one labelled Closed Captions.
To turn captions on in your web browser or the app, hit the CC icon at the bottom right-hand corner of the video-player window, and then ‘en-nz’.
