Hearing aids are only part of the solution. I really enjoy being able to relax and read my favourite TV programmes in the evenings without all the hard work of concentrating! - caption user

Captions are a transcription of the programme’s soundtrack, including dialogue, sound effects and music. Captions usually appear at the bottom of the screen.

Able provides captioning for clients across New Zealand and around the world, including for production companies, online platforms, museums, film festivals, and we're funded by NZ On Air to provide captioning for broadcast television channels (TVNZ 1, TVNZ 2, Three, Prime, DUKE and the +1 channels).

Do you need captioning for your video content?

Check out some examples of our work, and get in touch with us to discuss your project. Help us to make media accessible for all New Zealanders.
